Security company licensing in West Virginia

West Virginia Secretary of State, Business and Licensing Division licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.

West Virginia licenses the firm through a qualifying individual, and the public search returns only those individuals — 475 security guard records, 105 of them active. Each row names the firm in its address, so the licensed firms can be derived, but no firm licence number is published and none can be matched against a company's claim.

Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.

There is a second license, and in West Virginia it may be the only one that exists: the guard’s own.
