Moderation policy

tessura is a professional network for licensed security officers and the companies that employ them. People here use their real names and real licenses, so the bar is the same as on a post: be factual, be civil, and do not put anyone at risk. This page says exactly how we hold that line. Moderation is done by a person at tessura, not by an algorithm, and it is about conduct. tessura never ranks, scores, or filters guards for employers, and nothing in moderation feeds hiring decisions.

Company reviews

Reviews of a company are read before they appear. Only a signed-in user with a published guard profile can write one, and each account gets one review per company. Until a moderator approves it, a review is visible only to its author. We approve reviews that are first-hand, factual in tone (pay accuracy, scheduling, equipment, training, supervision, site conditions, communication), and free of names of individual people or confidential client detail.

We do not publish a review that contains:

An accusation of a specific crime or fraud stated as fact. "I filed a wage claim" is fine; "they steal wages" is not.
Names, phone numbers, addresses, or other details that identify an individual. Roles such as "my supervisor" are fine.
Client names tied to security specifics, post orders, gate codes, patrol routes, or procedures.
Profanity with no factual content, spam, or advertising.
Signs the author never worked there, or a conflict of interest (a competitor, or a company reviewing itself).
Content that targets a protected class.

We never edit review text and we never remove a review for being negative. Companies that dispute a review can write to support@tessurasecurity.com; we confirm the author's relationship to the company and re-check the review against this page.

Feed posts and comments

Posts and comments appear right away. Every post carries a Report action; a report goes to a moderator with your reason attached. Reports are read daily and urgent ones (threats, doxxing, illegal content) are handled as soon as they are seen. We remove posts and comments that contain:

Threats, harassment, or content that targets someone for their race, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, or veteran status.
Personal information about anyone other than yourself: addresses, phone numbers, license numbers, schedules, photos of people who did not consent.
Security-sensitive detail about a live site: post orders, camera positions, gate codes, patrol timings, client vulnerabilities.
Job posts that discriminate unlawfully, ask for a fee, or come from an unverified company pretending to be one.
Spam, scams, multi-level marketing, or repeated off-topic promotion.
Impersonation of a person, company, or state agency.
Anything illegal, including unlicensed guard services offered for hire.

A removed post disappears for everyone, including its author. Repeat violations lead to a loss of posting, then to closing the account. Reporting in bad faith to silence someone counts as a violation too.

Profiles and company pages

Profiles must be your own and use your real name; company pages must be created by someone who works there. Claiming a license you do not hold, or a verification badge you did not earn, results in removal of the claim and, if repeated, the account. We never show license numbers or documents publicly, so there is nothing to gain by posting them in your bio or headline, and we remove them if you do.

How to report

On any post: open its menu and choose Report, then say why in a sentence. For a profile, company page, review, or message, email support@tessurasecurity.com with a link or a screenshot. We acknowledge every report and tell you what we did with it.

Appeals

If something of yours was removed and you think that was wrong, reply to the notice or write to support@tessurasecurity.com within 30 days. A different person than the one who made the first call reviews it. We restore content we removed by mistake and say so.

Legal requests

We respond to valid legal process and to reports of content that is unlawful under U.S. law. Requests from state licensing agencies about a specific license go to legal@tessurasecurity.com. tessura is not affiliated with any state agency and does not act on its behalf.
