Security company licensing in Tennessee
Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance, Private Protective Services licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
The department's verification portal returns all 4,641 security company records — 2,200 of them active — with licence number, sub-type, status, expiry, city and county. It carries closed and revoked records too, so a buyer can see a company's licence history rather than just its current state.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.
