Security company licensing in South Carolina
South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Office of Regulatory Services licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
SLED licenses contract security businesses under Title 40 Chapter 18, but its security companies page carries only application forms, bond forms and an ineligibility list of barred individuals. There is no verification search, roster or licence lookup of any kind.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.

There is a second license, and in South Carolina it may be the only one that exists: the guard’s own.
