Security company licensing in Oregon

Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.

DPSST runs two systems and only one shows a licence number. The entity licence search returns name, DPSST identification number and status, and can be walked by name prefix. The older flat agency list is fully enumerable and richer — 1,197 active entries with address, phone and county — but has no licence number column and mixes in-house employers such as bars and clinics with contract security firms, so the entity search is the source to use.

Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.

There is a second license, and in Oregon it may be the only one that exists: the guard’s own.
