Security company licensing in Maine
Maine State Police, Special Investigations Unit licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
The State Police publish a dated 'Active Contract Security Companies' file listing 102 companies. It carries company name and licence number only — no address, status, or dates — so it establishes that a company is licensed and nothing more.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.

There is a second license, and in Maine it may be the only one that exists: the guard’s own.
