Security company licensing in Iowa
Iowa Department of Public Safety, Program Services Bureau licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
The DPS licensing portal returns all 327 licensed agencies in one request with licence number, status, address, county and phone. Iowa holds private security, private investigation and bail enforcement agencies in the same list with no licence-type field, so the three cannot be told apart from the roster alone.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.
