Security company licensing in Hawaii
Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Board of Private Detectives and Guards licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
The state licence search would return the whole Guard Agency roster in one request, but every query is checked against a reCAPTCHA on the server (confirmed again 2026-09-21), so it is a per-record lookup in practice. DCCA's paid PVL List Builder can export the whole Private Detectives and Guards board (about 16,400 current records, 212 of them entities with addresses) for $820, but it cannot be narrowed to guard agencies and is a one-time snapshot, not a feed. A UIPA records request for the Guard Agency (GDA) list is the open path.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.
