Security company licensing in Alaska
Alaska Department of Public Safety, Division of Statewide Services (Permits & Licensing Unit) licenses security companies here, but we do not yet carry its roster, so we cannot tell you who is on it.
Alaska licenses guard agencies under AS 18.65.400, but DPS publishes only application forms. It does publish a roster for the sibling process-server program, so the absence of a security list appears deliberate. Verification is by phone to the Permits & Licensing Unit.
Until then, verify a company with the regulator directly, and treat any license number a company gives you as a claim we have not checked.

There is a second license, and in Alaska it may be the only one that exists: the guard’s own.
