WEEKENDS 5pm-5am As a PT employee you can eventually transition with us to FT. As new contracts come in. We are seeking an experienced SLED certified Security Officer for IMMEDIATE HIRE. The ideal candidate should have current certification of training from SLED for Unarmed Security, have prior security experience, extreme attention to detail, demonstrate strong de-escalation skills, customer service and people skills. This role requires someone who can ensure the safety of adults and children on property while maintaining a friendly, approachable demeanor at all times. The ability to interact with all individuals in a courteous and professional manner is essential while remaining vigilant to the specific post orders. Mobile Patrol driving route in the Bluffton/ Hilton Head areas. Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client sites per post orders, provide security for our clients' property and personnel. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Controls access to client sites after-hours. Patrol assigned sites in security mobile patrol vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. Protect evidence or a scene of an incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations. Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents. Prepares logs and reports as required. With or without reasonable accommodation, the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: Hearing/speaking fluent English, and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving over 25 pounds. Responsibilities Conduct mobile patrol of various types of property sites on designated route to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity and help maintain all rules and regulations for HOAs, Retail sites, Dealerships, etc. Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential disturbances or confrontations. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying vulnerabilities and reporting any theft or damage and reporting. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, accidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with local law enforcement when needed during emergencies or investigations. Experience Proof of current Certification of Unarmed Security Guard training for state of South Carolina. Prior security experience required. Certification in First Aid and CPR is not required but highly desirable. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of loss prevention strategies is a plus. **Current UNARMED Security Officer license required.**
Requirements: 21 years or older. You must have a valid driver's license, insurance, RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, a working smartphone and clean driving record.
